ASHENEWS reports that the Niger State House of Assembly has approved the appointment of 20 Special Advisers to the State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. Abdulmalik Mohammed Sarkin Daji approved this during the Assembly’s inaugural sitting on Wednesday.
The approval followed a motion moved by the member representing the Bida South constituency, Haruna Abubakar, and seconded by the Member Representing the Suleja constituency, Murtala Badaru.
Thereafter, the speaker of the House urged the governor to ensure equality in the appointment of officials into his cabinet.
Also speaking, the deputy speaker of the House, Afiniki Dauda clamored for women’s inclusion in the appointment of officials by the Bago-led administration.
