ASHENEWS reports that the Niger State Government on Thursday announced the reduction of working hours for civil servants in the state.
The States Head of Service, Salamatu Abubakar stated this in a letter addressed to The Clerk of the State Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, the Chief of Staff to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, and his deputy.
The letter said that civil servants would henceforth work from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm from Mondays to Thursdays while on Fridays, civil servants would be expected to work from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm.
Abubakar said that the working hours would last throughout the period of the Ramadan fast. She enjoined Muslims to fervently pray for the peace, security, progress, and unity of the state and the country as a whole
