ASHENEWS reports that the Nigeria’s celebrated international footballer, Kanu Nwankwo has denied reports that he asked citizens to elect a particular candidate in the 2023 general elections.
This online platform further reports that Kanu in a short video tweet through his Twitter handle @papilokanu on Saturday denied asking anyone to support or elect a particular candidate.
According to him, Nigerian should stop using his name to spread fake news, advising “Do what is right and vote.”
“Hello my country people. Do what is right and vote.
“Kindly stop spreading fake news in my name that I ask you to vote for anyone.
“I am not the one to choose who you will vote for.
“So stop this rubbish with my name and go and get your PVC and vote am not a politician,” he tweeted.
