Goverrnor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto on Sunday, led a delegation to condole Senator Aliyu Wamakko over the death of his 23-year old daughter, Sadiya who died during child-birth.
Those on Tambuwal’s entourage were his Deputy, Alhaji Mannir Dan Iya, former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Shagari, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Saidu Umar and Chief of Staff, Alhaji Mukhtar Magori, among others.
The Governor expressed deep shock on the death of the deceased and prayed the Almighty Allah to repose her soul, as well as his family, the fortitude to bear the loss.
Similarly, Senators Danjuma Goje, Ahmad Yeriman and Murtala Nyako, have condoled Senator Wamakko.
Goje, who spoke on behalf of Yerima, Nyako and several other Senators that sent in their condolences through him, described the demise of Sadiya as a sad and great loss and prayed the Almighty Allah to grant her Aljannat Firdaus, as well as give Wamakko and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Former Kebbi State Deputy Governor and now Chief of Staff, Alhaji Suleiman Argungu also condoled Wamakko on the death of Sadiya.
In the same vein, the All Progressives Congress, APC, members of the House of Representatives from Sokoto state, led by Architect Almustapha Ibrahim have condoled Senator Wamakko.
Rabah said that, the death of Sadiya was a great loss not only to Wamakko and his family but to the entire state.
Responding, Wamakko commended all of them for their invaluable gestures and described death as inevitable for all mortals.
Emirs and other traditional title holders, Islamic clerics, politicians, technocrats and members of the business community from across Nigeria, have continued to troop to Gawon NAMA residence of Wamakko to extend their condolences.
Notable among the Emirs was the former Chief Judge of FCT Abuja, Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi, Emir of Gummi, Zamfara State.
Seperate special prayer sessions for the repose of the soul of late Sadiya were led by Sheikhs Bashir Gidan Kanawa, Abdulaziz Kofar Rini and Yahuza Shehu Tambuwal.
