Governor Bello Mohammed of Zamfara on Thursday, delivered a lecture where he shared his experience on how the state government brought relative peace in the state.
In the governor’s paper, “Promoting National Security And Sustainable Development: The Zamfara State Experience”, delivered at the National Institute for Security Studies, Bwari, Muhammad said honesty and determination propelled his government’s achievement of success in attaining security.
The paper dwelled extensively on the issues of security and development in the State under his administration.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Zailani Bappa made to Ashenewsonline on Friday, the governor was invited by the Institute to address participants of its Executive Intelligence Management Course (No13).
Muhammad advanced the causes of insecurity and challenges faced by the government as well as his achievements in that sector.
The governor said that security of lives and property was paramount, hence the decision by his administration to take it headlong on assumption.
“Honesty and determination saw him through to the success of returning peace to the then troubled state.
“The present peace attained in the state will be maintained while developmental projects will be sped off for the benefit of the citizens.
“The RUGA project initiated by his administration will serve as a foundation to re-integration of ex bandits and those who are fully interested in grazing.
“The pioneer one is almost completed at Maradun while construction for the other two will begin very soon,” the governor stated.
