The vice chancellor of Nigerian Army University, NAUB, Prof. Kyari Mohammed has warned students of the institution that the university would not tolerate examination malpractice, cultism, or occultic practices, sexual harassment and violence of any sort.
He said this during the third matriculation ceremony for 450 registered students out of the 589 newly admitted students of 2021/2022 academic session, which held on Saturday.
Declaring the ceremony open, Professor Mohammed explained that the university was conceived based on the good ethos and values of the Nigerian Army, which are discipline, orderliness and respect for constituted authorities as well as the universal values of universities; which is freedom to hold and profess divergent opinions.
“The Nigerian Army University Biu has zero tolerance for unethical and bad behavior and the rod will not be spared on anyone who tests the will of the university.
“The university will not tolerate examination malpractice, cultism, or occultic practices, sexual harassment and violence of any sort,” the VC said.
A statement by the spokesperson of the university, Hassan Ismael made available to ASHENEWS on Sunday, said the new students swore oath of good behavior and allegiance and were formally admitted into the university.
He added that out of the 589 students that were admitted, 450 students had successfully registered, matriculated and deemed as students of the university.
The Registrar of the university, Brigadier General SS Ibrahim, who administered the matriculation oath, congratulated the students for becoming bonafide students of the Nigerian Army University Biu.
