Gunmen on Sunday, abducted at least 200 students of an Islamiyya school located at Tegina in Rafi local government area of Niger state, ChannelsTV has reported.
According the report, while one person was shot dead, another laid critically injured after gunmen carried out the kidnap operation at about 4:30pm.
A resident of the area, Zayyad Mohammed confirmed on telephone that the Salihu Tanko Islamiyya school, was built by a retired immigration officer.
When ASHENEWS contacted the spokesperson of Niger state police command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun to confirm the incident, he could not pick the calls.
