According to the statement, the purpose is to explore traditional methods to complement government efforts in addressing insecurity.
In a related development, the Benin Traditional Council will host youth leaders, known as Okaighele, on the following day, Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the same time and venue.
This move signals the palace’s involvement as traditional institutions step in to support security agencies amid rising kidnappings and cult-related violence in the state.
