Leadway Group has launched the fourth edition of its flagship ‘Pages to Places’ school outreach initiative to promote literacy and improve access to educational resources among public primary school pupils nationwide.
The company disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Managing Director, Mr. Olusakin Labeodan.
According to the statement, the programme will be implemented in Lagos, Warri, Ekiti, Port Harcourt, Kaduna, and Abuja.
Labeodan stated that the initiative would provide beneficiary schools with carefully selected literature books and mobile libraries.
“This is to strengthen literacy levels, encourage a reading culture, and improve access to learning materials in underserved communities,” he said.
He noted that the programme has become a key component of Leadway’s efforts to enhance educational outcomes and expand opportunities for young Nigerians.
Since its inception four years ago, the initiative has continued to make a positive impact.
“Our investments are guided by a simple philosophy: to secure the future, we must intentionally invest in the total wellbeing of children today.
“The Pages to Places initiative, now in its fourth edition, reflects our enduring commitment to creating meaningful impact in underserved communities.
“By improving access to quality learning resources and promoting healthy lifestyles, we are equipping children with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive.
“These opportunities will enable them to contribute positively to society and realize their full potential,” he said.
Labeodan emphasized that the initiative is founded on the belief that books serve as gateways to knowledge, imagination, and opportunity.
He explained that access to books helps children broaden their horizons and develop a lifelong passion for learning.
The managing director also highlighted Leadway’s broader commitment to child development through partnerships and community outreach programmes.
He mentioned that Leadway recently partnered with Holdbodi to support more than 3,000 children across Agege, Ebute Metta, and Abule Egba in Lagos State.
According to him, the partnership focused on activities aimed at improving children’s wellbeing and overall development.
Labeodan further stated that the company participated in the Akada Children’s Book Festival as part of its educational support initiatives.
He also noted that Leadway supported the Get Fit with Jhay initiative, which promotes healthy lifestyles among young people.
The programme encourages fitness, wellness, and recreational activities as part of a balanced approach to child development.
Labeodan said the company’s interventions reflect a holistic approach that recognises education, health, and wellbeing as essential pillars of development.
He added that such investments are crucial to building thriving communities and securing a brighter future for the next generation.
Established in 1970, Leadway provides services in insurance, pensions, asset management, trusteeship, and investment solutions.
