Fans and industry stakeholders have continued to celebrate Davido’s 15th anniversary in the music industry, praising his consistency, resilience, and massive impact on Afrobeats.

The singer, fondly called ‘OBO’, marked the milestone by sharing a post on his X page, writing: “God is the best of all planners! 15 years in da game.”

The post has since attracted widespread accolades from fans and music lovers worldwide, with many commending his devotion, achievements, and contributions to the global growth of Afrobeats.

Fans highlighted how his music has transcended borders, united diverse audiences, and inspired a new generation of artists across Africa and beyond. While most reactions were positive, a few noted that some newer artists have won Grammys.

Davido, born David Adeleke on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, USA, began his professional music career in 2011. He rose to fame with his 2012 debut album Omo Baba Olowo and the hit single “Dami Duro”.

Over the past 15 years, he has released five studio albums — Omo Baba Olowo (2012), A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023), and 5ive (2025). His achievements include multiple Grammy nominations, historic sold-out concerts (including the O2 Arena in London), and several groundbreaking firsts for African artists.
