The Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Council in Kaduna State, Mr. Peter Tanko, has praised Gov. Uba Sani for his commitment to developing the state’s education sector.
Tanko gave the commendation while inspecting ongoing renovation and construction work at Kaduna State University (KASU), Kafanchan Campus.
He described the governor’s intervention in revitalizing the institution as a clear demonstration of the administration’s prioritization of education.
The chairman expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work across key facilities, including the library, hostels, and multipurpose hall.
“These facilities will serve students for many years to come. I urge the contractors to maintain high standards and deliver solid work without compromise.
“This project reflects the governor’s sustained commitment to meaningful development in Jema’a Local Government,” he said.
Tanko also called for increased student admissions and staffing at the Kafanchan campus to complement the improved infrastructure.
The College Secretary, Badung Kumai, who led the inspection tour on behalf of the Administrator, Prof. Awa Yusuf, said the project marks the first major renovation at the campus in over 14 years.
He noted that the ongoing work would significantly enhance teaching and learning conditions.
“This development will revitalize the campus. For over a decade, there has been no major renovation, so this effort is highly commendable,” Kumai said.
In separate remarks, Mr. Amos Samaila, Jema’a APC Chairman, and Mr. Armstrong Maichibi, Majority Leader of the Jema’a Legislative Council, praised Gov. Sani for his attention to the area.
They pledged continued support for the administration and expressed optimism that the electorate would recognize the governor’s efforts.
Also speaking, campus student leader Mato Hillary said the improved learning environment would positively impact students’ academic performance.
He urged students to make proper use of the facilities and ensure they are well maintained to prevent deterioration.
