The Nasrul-Lahi-il-Fatih Society (NASFAT) on Sunday inaugurated a new set of Zonal Executive members to oversee activities across Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara for the next two years.
NASFAT National President, Ayodeji Abdulrauf, inaugurated the executives and commended the zone for its consistent dedication to the growth of the society and commitment to Islamic teachings.
Represented by Vice-President II, Maroof Ajiroba, Abdulrauf emphasized that NASFAT, as a prominent Nigerian-based international Islamic organization, remains focused on Islamic propagation, education, and community empowerment.
“Your sustained commitment to the development of the society is commendable. As leaders, you must uphold trust, justice, and fairness in all dealings with members and the society at large,” he said.
He congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and prayed for wisdom and success in their responsibilities.
In his remarks, re-elected Zonal Chairman Yusuf Ajibola expressed gratitude to members for their continued support. He noted that members’ dedication has strengthened leadership and enhanced the capacity to serve effectively.
Ajibola called for ongoing support while assuring transparency and inclusive leadership throughout his tenure.
Delivering a lecture titled “Leadership and Followership,” NASFAT Zonal Missioner Sheikh Muftau Alani described leadership in Islam as a trust that requires accountability and responsibility. He emphasized that leadership must be guided by justice, consultation, mercy, and accountability, while followership requires respect, obedience, and constructive engagement.
Alani urged the new executives to work in unity, peace, and harmony for the society’s progress. He also called on members across the zone to support the new leadership for the overall development of NASFAT nationwide.
The inaugurated officials included Aliyu Abdulrahman (Vice-Chairman), Tafa Taofeek (Secretary), Ismael Suleiman (Financial Secretary), and Rahmat Abdulazeez (Women Secretary). Others were Abdulsalam Amidu (Internal Audit Secretary), Rasheedat Ibrahim (Economic Empowerment Secretary), Lawal Abdulrafiu (Membership Secretary), Sani Almaroof (Education Secretary), and Lukman Sulaiman (Welfare Secretary).
Also inaugurated were Mashud Nurudeen (Health Services Secretary), Kabir Ibrahim (Public Relations Secretary), Ibrahim Badamasi (Youth Secretary), and Shakiru Owelomonshe (Security Secretary).
