The governor described the lawmaker’s efforts in promoting healthcare delivery, education and social protection among vulnerable persons as a mark of true quality representation.

“I am highly impressed today to be here to inaugurate the renovated, expanded and upgraded health care facility by Hon. Kabiru Maipalace.

“This is great effort by Hon. Kabiru Maipalace, I want to commend him for upgrading this hospital from 10 to 40-bed capacity under his constituency project for the year 2025.

“This is timely and  a welcome development, this is in line with my administration’s policy of enhancing healthcare delivery in Zamfara,” he said.

Lawal further explained that the health sector was the critical element of the Six-point Agenda of his administration.

“As I always say, my administration is committed towards achieving the agenda including security, education, health, agriculture, infrastructure and economic development.

“I really appreciate the style of Maipalace”s representation for giving priority to major the needs of the common man especially the critical sector of health.

At the event, Maipalace commended the Governor for finding time to inaugurate the facility.

“This health facility which is now up to the status of a General Hospital in terms of facilities is part of my constituency projects of 2025.

“Your Excellency, the healthcare facilities of this nature serve as major pillars in the delivery of first aid healthcare to the immediate community, thereby complementing the efforts of the primary healthcare facilities.

“This is what informed our decision to lend our support in this direction, especially in line with the six-point agenda of His Excellency as well as his declaration of a state of emergency in the health sector,” he said.

The lawmaker said the centre was upgraded to a 40-bed space, with offices for record keeping, Nutrition Department and Family planning, among others..

He stated that the PHC was equipped with beds, cooling system, televisions sets, furniture And solar lights.

Maipalace added, “Sir, I am also currently constructing a Clcomplete Ward in Shagari primary healthcare facility here in Gusau.

“This is in addition to the renovation of the blocks at the General Hospital Magami town.

“It is also important to mention that as part of my modest effort in partnering with His Excellency’s agenda in education which led to declaration of state of emergency on it, I constructed about 30 blocks of classrooms in Secondary and Primary schools within Gusau and Tsafe.

“I am also constructing a standard 250 capacity Computer-Based Testing Centre (CBT) in Tsafe, the first of its kind in the state.

“I also initiated different empowerment programmes, which include, saloon, make-up, tailoring and catering.
