If you’re part of the “It doesn’t concern Nigeria/Africa” crowd who use that mechanical response to avoid thinking, because thinking is painful and difficult, you can skip this post. It’s not for you.

For everyone else, the map on the left is how “Israel” proposes to redraw the map of North Africa and the Gulf/Levant with its colonial war, stealing about 11% of the territory of Egypt for the so-called “Greater Israel” plan. This happens to be the part of Egypt that contains the Suez Canal – the single most important shipping lane in the world and the single trading choke point for about 80% of the inhabited planet.
More importantly, this strip of Egypt between the Nile River and the Red Sea is where 95% of Egypt’s population lives, and it is basically where everything worth living for in Egypt is located. Israel stealing this land, renaming it, and driving out its inhabitants would be like Israel stealing an entire country, running its people off their land, and renaming it (I wonder where I’ve heard that before).
Are you seeing the problem here?

Egypt is never going to give up such territory without a fight to the death, and a war in Egypt would have similar consequences for the northern half of Africa to the war in Libya – only about 50 times worse!
Remember how the war in Libya wasn’t our business in 2011? Remember how Nigeria even voted in favour of the NATO airstrikes that destroyed Libya? Remember how it didn’t matter, after all, they were Arabs and they hate Black people, so why should we care what happened to them? Remember how rapidly we found out that – Arab or no Arab – when there is war and instability in a country 2 borders away from us, it IS our business? Remember how many Nigerians died and are still dying because of arms from Libya? Remember how Boko Haram went from hunting and bombing buildings to holding Nigerian territory and raising flags? Do you remember ba?
Because the number of borders between Nigeria and Ghana is the same number of borders between Nigeria and Egypt.
Shebi e no concern us? No wam. That geopolitics? We go learn am. By the time oyibo do us finish and we finally realise wetin dey sup, we go return hin Yahweh give am, and become “African Identity Extremists.” Then go call us “terrorist” and we go use our full chest collect am.
