The FRSC Sokoto State Sector Commander, Hassan Maikano made this reiteration when the sector commenced the 2024 International Customer Week.

According to him, the federal agency has made progress in improving road safety measures over the years and they are working to ensure the agency meet the global target of reducing road crash deaths, “This year’s theme, ‘Above and Beyond,’ reflects our dedication to going the extra mile to ensure the safety of every road user in Sokoto State and across Nigeria. It is about acknowledging the value of our frontline service providers and celebrating their positive impact in reducing road accidents and enhancing traffic management.”

Maikano noted that the International Customer Week would run from October 7th to 11th during which appreciation letters would be sent tp all FRSC frontline service providers to appreciate them for the work they do in advancing road safety. Other activities would includeappreciation to FRSC stakeholders and staff, road rallies and interactive radio programmes.

Maikano further said that there would be public awareness campaigns aimed at educating residents on safe driving practices and adherence to traffic laws.
