In a bid to boost economic development and strengthen international ties, Niger State Governor Mohammed Bago held separate meetings with the Ambassadors of Brazil and Turkey in Abuja.

The discussions focused on deepening the existing bilateral relationships, particularly in agriculture and other sectors of mutual interest.

Governor Bago met with the Brazilian Ambassador to Nigeria, Ricardo Guerra de Araujo, and the Turkish Ambassador, Hidayet Bayraktar, to explore investment opportunities and collaboration to accelerate the state’s agricultural productivity.

During the meetings, Governor Bago outlined the potential areas for cooperation, expressing his hope that the partnerships would lead to mutual benefits.

The governor commended the ambassadors for their ongoing support in fostering Niger State’s development.

Both Ambassador Araujo and Ambassador Bayraktar reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their countries’ ties with Niger State and emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration.

During his visit to the Turkish Embassy, Governor Bago toured the embassy’s greenhouse facility.

He pledged to bring agricultural produce from Niger State’s greenhouses for sale to the embassy staff, showcasing the state’s potential in sustainable farming.

The meetings underscore Niger State’s focus on international cooperation as part of its broader strategy to enhance economic growth, create jobs, and improve agricultural outcomes.
