ASHENEWS reports that the Jigawa State Government has inaugurated Organising Committee for the National Orphans Qur’anic Recitation Competition.
This was made known in a statement issued by the National PRO of the Aytam Global Care Charity Foundation, Muhammed Ibrahim.
According to the statement, the event is scheduled to be held between the 2nd to 12th of August, 2024.
The statement noted that the Committee was inaugurated by the Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi.
Namadi was represented by the Executive Secretary of the State Bureau of Education, Dr. Mubarak Hassan.
In his remarks, the governor, while charging members to live above board reiterated the Jigawa State governments commitment to the successful hosting of the third edition of the annual event.
“The Governor who noted that the members were carefully selected considering their track record of experience, honesty and hard work,said the state government will provide them with all the necessary logistics to effectively discharge the assignment,” the statement said.
The statement quoted the National Vice Chairman of the National Aytam Global Charity Care Foundation, Nura Talatar Mafara as appreciating the Jigawa State Government for accepting to host the competition.
Alkali who congratulated members of the Committee, however, appealed to them to give special attention to the venue of the competition, accommodation and feeding of the participants for a hitch-free exercise.
The 14-man Committee is chaired by Dr. Bala Kazaure while Muhammad Bn. Abdulhamid serves as Secretary General.
Other members are Dr. Mubarak Abdulwahab, Dr. Salisu Ismail, Shisu Doko, Sani Saleh and Ahmad Birniwa.
The remaining are Jibril Zakar, Rabi’u Muhammad, T. Abdulwhab, Zainab Shuaibu and Hauwa Garba.
The third edition of the annual National Competition tagged “Jigawa 2024” is expected to get participants from across the country.
