Kwara state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Friday, announced a minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Friday.
Those affected include Mrs Justina Afolashade, Commissioner for Social Development, who has been redeployed to the Ministry of Women Affairs.
Also, Mrs Bosede Buraimoh, who was hitherto in charge of the Ministry of Women Affairs was moved to the Ministry of Social Development.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mrs Nafisat Buge was moved to the Ministry of Environment, while Mr Shehu Usman, who was hitherto in charge of the ministry, moved to the Ministry of Youth Development in Kwara State.
According to Ajakaye, the cabinet reshuffle takes immediate effect.
Kwara is a state in the North Central Nigeria, bordered to the east by Kogi State, to the north by Niger State, and the south by Ekiti, Osun, and Oyo states, while its western border makes up part of the international border with Benin Republic. Its capital is the city of Ilorin and the state has 16 local government areas.
Of the 36 states of Nigeria, Kwara is the ninth largest in area, but the sixth least populous, with an estimated population of about 3.2 million as at 2016.
Geographically, Kwara State is split between the West Sudanian savanna in the west, and the Guinean forest–savanna mosaic ecoregion in the rest of the states.
