The Force spokesperson of the Nigeria Police (NPF), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a deputy commissioner of Police (DCP), on Sunday, said he doest not take bribes because it is taboo.
Adejobi stated this while replying to an X user, Valentine Kruze who asked him the question if he had ever taken a bribe.
The police spokesperson is a prince born to the late Olowu of Orile-Owu Oba Moses Adejobi in Ayedade Local Government Area of Osun State.
“Have you taken a bribe before?” the X user asked.

Adejobi replied, “No. It’s taboo for a royal prince to take a bribe. Taking a bribe definitely makes someone somewhere cry for many reasons, and it’s ungodly to do so.
“Your main purpose in life is to put smiles on people’s faces. It’s Godly and rewarding. It’s my personal principle and a call to duty.
“I preach this to my colleagues and many others always. May we have the grace to remain steadfast and purposeful in life.”
In December 2023, the police dismissed two special constabularies, Jimoh Lukmon and Kareem Fatai, who attempted to extort a Dutch motorcycle rider.

ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, an astute police officer and a professional public relations practitioner, is an alumnus of the prestigious University of Ibandan, where he studied Archaeology and Geography.
He equally holds a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict from the same University.
A product of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil Kano where he had his initial police training, ACP Adejobi has had a long stint as Police Public Relations Officer in Ogun State Police Command from 2008 -2016.
He equally served as PPRO Zone 2 Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, in 2016 and PPRO, Lagos State Police Command between September 2020 and August 2021, when he was posted to be deputy to the former Force PRO, CP Frank Mba.
