The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has expressed deep concern over the rising cases of out-of-school children, poverty, and other socioeconomic problems in the North, warning that the region is on the brink of collapse if leaders do not unite to find solutions to these challenges.
“An election was conducted, and the declaration was made on October 25, 2021, by the Returning Officer at the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Chamber,” Nagwari stated. “Despite a court order served to the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIECOM) on January 12, 2022, to issue a certificate of return to the winner, the order was not obeyed.”
“The privilege of being a Governor has an expiry date. In your case, if you are lucky, another seven years. But from the way things are unfolding, I believe the default expiry date for your tenure is another three years. The sheer volume of debt inherited by Governor Sani raises serious concerns about the level of financial mismanagement and irresponsible borrowing practices under the previous administration. Such a massive debt burden not only hinders the state government’s ability to provide essential services and invest in critical infrastructure projects but also creates a significant financial burden for future generations of Kaduna residents.
“These guys have realized that they are wholly incompetent and the only way to mask the nonsense is to deflect. From a Governor that is always sleeping in Abuja to a litany of incompetent aides that were only rewarded for foolish political reasons.”
