The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and 14th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi has said that President Bola Tinubu is not responsible for the hardship being faced by Nigerians at the moment.
President Bola Tinubu, on Friday, signed the Electricity Act (Amendment) Bill 2024 into law. The bill, which was passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate in 2023, was sponsored by Hon. Babajide Benson of Ikorodu constituency of Lagos State.

ASHENEWS reports that President Bola Tinubu has approved the “Pulaaku Initiative”, and allocated the sum of N50 billion to the initiative, in its first instance, as non-kinetic solution to deal with insurgency and banditry in the Northern parts of Nigeria.
According to him, “it is inconceivable for the Federal Government to take a loan of $3.3 billion with an interest rate that is not more than 12 per cent, but with estimated repayment amounting to $12 billion”, adding that it is also that “Nigeria’s current Barrels Produced Daily (BPD) is 1.38 million, and according to the Project Gazelle deal, Nigeria is to supply 90,000 Barrels of its daily production, starting from 2024 till it is up to 164.25 million barrels for the repayment of the loan.”
