The Sokoto State Government will take part in an international event about educational technology. This event, called the International Summit and Expo on Educational Technologies, will be held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from June 20 to 22, 2025.
Professor Isa Muhammad Maishanu, the Commissioner for Higher Education in Sokoto State, will attend the summit on behalf of the Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto.
The summit is an important event organized by Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education. It brings together top institutions and experts from around the world to discuss educational technology.
According to a statement by Ibrahim Muhammad Iya, the information officer for Sokoto State’s Ministry of Higher Education, the event will focus on new ways of learning, working with other countries, and sharing knowledge.
He explained that Sokoto State’s goal is to build strong partnerships in higher education. This includes creating more chances for students to study for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, attending academic conferences, receiving scholarships, and setting up faculty exchange programs between Türkiye and Sokoto.
Professor Maishanu thanked Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto for his strong support for higher education and for making it possible for Sokoto to be part of this important global event.
Ibrahim Iya also said that Sokoto State is committed to giving its people—especially young students—more chances to study and gain international experience.
