The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has inaugurated an ICT center at Community Secondary School, Sangana, in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Engr. Felix Ogbe, represented by the General Manager of Corporate Communications, Esueme Kikile Esq., expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the community.
He urged students, school authorities, and residents to safeguard and maintain the facility, which is equipped with 31 desktop computers, a Wowbii Interactive Board, a printing system, a solar-powered inverter, and a backup power generator.
Ogbe further assured that the Board would periodically assess the center to determine any necessary upgrades or repairs.
In their remarks, the school principal, traditional rulers, and other community stakeholders commended NCDMB for the initiative, emphasizing that the ICT center would enhance students’ learning experiences and enable them to compete effectively on a global scale.
The Executive Secretary’s representative, Esueme Kikile, was accompanied by Mrs. Peace Oyanbo Owei, a former NCDMB Governing Council member; Mr. Joseph Adebayo, Senior Manager, Projects, NCDMB; and other Board officials.
