Huawei Technologies reported a revenue of CNY880.9 billion for 2025, maintaining steady performance in line with forecasts despite complex industry cycles and global market challenges.
The tech giant disclosed this in its 2025 Annual Report released on Tuesday, noting a net profit of CNY68 billion for the fiscal year.
A key highlight of the report was Huawei’s strong commitment to innovation, with CNY192.3 billion invested in Research and Development (R&D)—21.8 per cent of annual revenue—bringing its total R&D expenditure over the last decade to CNY1.382 trillion.
According to the report, while its connectivity business navigated shifts in industry investment cycles, the computing and intelligent automotive sectors recorded rapid growth by capitalizing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) opportunities.
The company also noted that its consumer business reached a significant milestone, advancing the HarmonyOS ecosystem and enhancing user experience despite formidable challenges.
Huawei’s Rotating Chairwoman, Sabrina Meng, attributed the steady performance to the support of global partners, developers, and employees.
“In 2025, Huawei’s overall performance remained steady. We are moving toward a future full of uncertainty, so we must remain true to our strategy and maintain strategic focus,” Meng said.
She added that the company would continue to translate strategy into execution by cultivating developer ecosystems and pursuing high-quality development.
The report highlighted that Huawei Cloud has become more competitive by focusing on key services, while the power business prioritizes quality above all else.
Looking ahead, Huawei plans to increase R&D investment in strategic areas, including cloud, devices, intelligent driving, and AI. Its future competitive edge will rely on integrating AI and security into products and networks, while building collaborative ecosystems around the Ascend, Kunpeng, and HarmonyOS platforms.
