Dangote Petroleum Refinery has launched 4,000 CNG-powered tankers as a major national initiative to revolutionize fuel distribution across Nigeria. Starting August 15, 2025, the refinery will begin supplying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel directly to marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecom firms, aviation operators, and other large users, with free nationwide logistics.
To drive this effort, the company has procured 4,000 brand-new CNG-powered tankers, aimed at reducing logistics costs, improving fuel availability, and enhancing energy efficiency. It is also rolling out CNG daughter booster stations, backed by over 100 CNG tankers to ensure smooth nationwide delivery.
The initiative is open to a wide range of sectors, including manufacturers and telecom companies. Fuel buyers can purchase directly from Dangote Refinery, bypassing intermediaries. To ease business operations, a credit facility will be available: purchasers of 500,000 litres can receive an additional 500,000 litres on credit for two weeks, subject to a bank guarantee.
This intervention is expected to lower fuel distribution costs, reactivate idle petrol stations, stimulate SMEs and job creation, improve rural fuel access, and strengthen investor confidence.
The move aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and supports the Federal Government’s Naira-for-Crude initiative to stabilise local fuel supply.
Registration and KYC verification run from June 16 to August 15.
