Popular human-interest online news platform, Citizens Compass, has been nominated in the Online of the Year category at the 19th Edition of the Nigeria Media Nite Out Award (NMNA) 2025.
The prestigious award ceremony, which is strictly by invitation, is scheduled to hold on Sunday, November 26, 2025, at the Lagos Airport Hotel.
Citizens Compass, founded and published by veteran journalist Mrs. Bose Adelaja, will be competing alongside other leading online platforms for the coveted recognition. Other award categories include Political Writer of the Year, Travel and Tourism Writer of the Year, and Sports Writer of the Year, among others.
In a letter dated Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the Convener and Chief Executive Officer of NMNA, Mr. Shola Olugbemiro, informed nominees that voting has officially commenced for all categories.
The statement read in part:

Reacting to the nomination, Mrs. Bose Adelaja, popularly known as Mama Metro for her extensive work in human-interest and metro journalism, expressed gratitude to readers and urged them to support the platform.
