The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the resumption of Phase III of the Nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, which will run from May 11 to July 10, 2026.

Described as the final opportunity for eligible citizens to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), the Commission is urging residents of Sokoto State to take advantage of this window. The CVR will be conducted through both online pre-registration and physical registration centres.

Honourable Umar Yusuf Garba, Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for INEC Sokoto, called on the people of Sokoto to register ahead of the upcoming elections.

“Your participation is critical to the growth of our democracy. We urge everyone in Sokoto State to register and collect their PVCs as this is the final chance before the exercise concludes. The deadline is fast approaching, so act now,” he said.

The CVR process includes both online and physical registration, each with specific timelines. Individuals who lost their PVCs, wish to transfer their registration, or need to update their details can now handle these services online at cvr.inecnigeria.org without visiting an INEC office.

The Commission urges all eligible voters to adhere strictly to the timelines and complete their registration within the stipulated period.
