ASHENEWS reports that the Sokoto State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated the state governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for emerging of the Sokoto South Senatorial District seat.
The party also felicitated with three members of the House of Representatives who won the rerun election on the platform of the party.
“The party congratulate Abdussamad Dasuki, Kebbe/Tambuwal; Bashir Gorau, Gada/Goronyo; and Umar Yusuf Yabo, Yabo/Shagari federal constituencies, respectively.
“The party also has congratulate the 10 members-elect of the State House of Assembly who won their seats on the platform of the PDP.
They are Sule Hatsi Romo, Tambuwal West, Bashar Isa Jabo, Tambuwal East, Mas’ud Muhammad Shagari, Shagari Constituency, Abubakar Magaji, Bodinga North and Abdullahi Muhammad Randa, Tureta Constituency.
Others are Buhari Yarima, Sokoto North 1; Nasiru Adamu, Goronyo Constituency; Yusha’u Aliyu, Gada West Constituency; Habibu Halilu Modachi, Isa constituency and Atiku Liman Grande, Silame Constituency.
In a statement by PDP Publicity Secretary, Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, the party expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for the victories recorded.
The PDP also acknowledged the sustained support of its members and the generality of the people of the state.
The party urged members of the party to sustain fervent prayers most especially during the last 10 days of the month of Ramadan to ensure the success of the party at the governorship election petitions tribunal.
In the same vein, the party called on the members to remain patient and prayerful as it will challenge the outcomes of all the national and state assembly seats won by the APC.
