#NigeriaDecides – ASHENEWS reports that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, has alleged that the personnel and adhoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), were not trained enough for the election process.
He also lamented that there were no adequate security personnel to man the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections in Sokoto State.
Sokoto made the allegation while speaking with journalists shortly after he cast his vote at his 019 Polling Unit of Tudun Wada ward A on Saturday.
According to him, “The turn-out of voters is appreciative but 60 to 70 percent of the polling units were not manned by security agencies.
“Also, the INEC and adhoc staff’s are not well trained to handle the election process. More so, the INEC personnel came out to the polling units late,” he said.
Sokoto further confirmed that the Biomodal Verification Accreditation System (BVAS) has reduced electoral fraud.
