ASHENEWS reports that the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has called for the immediate release of the Channels Televisions reporter, Joshua Rogers, who was abducted by terrorists on Thursday night from his residence in Rumuosi, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.
Rogers was taken by unknown gunmen around 9 p.m. while returning from an official assignment at the government house.
The assailants intercepted him and forcefully took him away in a Channels Television-branded vehicle.
ASHENEWS earlier quoted a source saying, “Yes, he was kidnapped last night at his residence in Rumuosi and taken away in his car by some unknown gunmen.
“We are appealing to the kidnappers to release him immediately and unhurt. He is just a journalist doing his job and not a money bag. So I don’t know the purpose of his kidnap.”
