The Federal High Court (FHC) on Saturday announced the passing of Justice Mohammed Yunusa of the Kano Judicial Division.
The Director of Information of the FHC, Mrs. Catherine-Oby Christopher, made this known in a statement issued in Abuja.
Justice Yunusa died on Thursday after a brief illness at the Kano State Medical Centre. He has since been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.

The FHC described the deceased as “a distinguished jurist who served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.”
The court said his immense contributions to the Bench and the legal profession would be fondly remembered by his colleagues, members of the Bar, court staff, and all who had the privilege of working with him.
“The Chief Judge, judges, management, and staff of the Federal High Court extend their heartfelt condolences to his immediate family,” the statement read.
“We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.”
