Mr. Caleb Mutfwang has joined his counterparts in Lagos, Bauchi, Kano, and Zamfara sates as the Supreme Court reverses his sack as the Governor of Plateau State.

Recall that Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 525,299 votes during the governorship of the state, to beat the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, who scored 481,370 votes during the 18 March governorship poll in the state.

However, while his election was upheld by the Plateau State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal in Jos, the Court of Appeal, in its judgement of 19 November 2023 in Abuja, overturned Mr Mutfwang’s victory.

He appealed the judgement at the Supreme Court, which on Friday, quashed the decision of the appellate court and affirmed him as winner of the governorship election.
