President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly (NASS) at 2:00 p.m.
This was disclosed in a letter issued by the Clerk to the National Assembly (CNA), Mr. Kamorudeen Ogunlana, and signed on his behalf by the Secretary, Human Resources and Staff Development, Mr. Essien Eyo Essien.
The letter stated: “I am directed to inform you that the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will present the 2026 proposed Budget to a joint session of the National Assembly.”
It added that all accredited persons are expected to be at their duty posts by 11:00 a.m., warning that latecomers would be denied access to the National Assembly Complex for security reasons.
The notice further directed non-accredited persons to stay away from the complex on the day of the presentation, with access restricted to the CNA, Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA), the Clerk of the Senate, the Clerk of the House of Representatives, and their deputies.
“All other members of staff are required to park their vehicles at designated spaces at the Annex or the new car park by the National Assembly (NASS) gate,” the letter said.
