The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) on Monday felicitated the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II, on his birthday and ninth coronation anniversary.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued by the hospital’s Chief Medical Director (CMD), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, and made available to newsmen in Benin.
Prof. Ize-Iyamu described Oba Ewuare II as “a symbol of peace, wisdom, and cultural pride,” whose reign continues to inspire unity and development in Edo State and beyond.
“On behalf of the management and staff of UBTH, we pray for God’s continued grace, good health, and long life for His Royal Majesty,” she said.

The CMD commended the monarch for his exemplary leadership, noting that his contributions to the progress and harmony of the Benin Kingdom remain invaluable.
She also reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to supporting the palace in promoting the health and well-being of the people of Edo State.
