The wife of Anambra Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has urged Nigerians to adopt healthy lifestyles to improve their brain health, describing a healthy brain as the foundation for a sound and healthy life.
Soludo made the call on Wednesday in Awka while commemorating the 2026 World Brain Day, which is observed globally every July 22.
This year’s theme is “Brain Health: Access for All”. The day is marked annually to raise awareness about brain health and neurological disorders.

She emphasised the importance of good nutrition, regular physical activity, quality sleep, lifelong learning, and mental wellness in maintaining optimal brain function.
“A healthy brain is the foundation of a sound and healthy life. By embracing good nutrition, regular physical activity, quality sleep, lifelong learning and mental wellness, we can protect one of God’s greatest gifts,” she said.
Soludo also called on citizens to support one another in promoting mental wellness and building a healthier, more productive society.
“Let us nurture our minds, support one another and build a healthier, more productive society,” she added.
