Honeycedars impact supports adults navigating mental health and life

Jocelyn Ademiluyi, who leads Honeycedars Impact, says mental health is a big problem that many adults don’t talk about enough. This is especially true for adults in their busiest, most productive years.

Before the 2025 event on October 18 in Lagos, she said that being an adult used to seem like a time of freedom and happiness. But now, it is much more difficult.

She explained that many adults today face heavy responsibilities, trouble making decisions, and the high cost of living, especially in big cities.

Jocelyn said, “Being an adult used to mean independence and happiness. Now, it feels like a struggle. Adults have to deal with money problems, mental health issues, relationships, and job uncertainty. It can feel like walking on a tightrope without any help.

“She added, “Adults often have to take care of others, like aging parents, children, or workers. This is a big challenge.”

She also said many adults have many choices but are unsure what to do. Whether it is picking a job, handling a relationship, or starting a business, they often fear failing.

The high cost of living in cities like Lagos makes things harder. Many adults work very hard to pay their bills, meet expectations, and still have time for themselves.

Adults, especially those aged 25 to 45, often hide their problems because society expects them to be strong. But many quietly deal with anxiety, depression, feeling tired, and identity problems while pretending to be okay.

Jocelyn said Honeycedars Impact started in 2023 to help adults with these problems. The group focuses on mental health, making decisions, and finding happiness in a fast, stressful world.

The project began as a way to celebrate her 40th birthday and to support goals for good work and economic growth. The goal is to help adults face their problems without losing who they are.

She said they saw early on that adults are under a lot of pressure. So, besides business and networking, they created spaces where people can think, grow, and connect with others deeply.

Honeycedars Impact is different from normal networking events. It is a place to talk openly about personal growth, emotional strength, and leading your own life.

At Honeycedars, the talks are not just about money, but also about finding purpose, balance, and strength—things needed to live well as an adult today.

They offer mentorship, expert talks, and storytelling that shares real experiences. These stories include struggles and how people got better, not just success stories.

In a world where people often show only their best side, Honeycedars Impact helps people be true to themselves. It is growing as a community of professionals who want not just success, but meaningful and balanced lives.
