The people of Zaria in Kaduna State have been elated as their son, Retired Chief Justice of the Federal Capital Territory, Ishaq Usman Bello was conferred with the National Honour of Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
There were jubilations and flow of felicitations across the Emirate as elders, the young and women described the award to Justice Bello as well deserved saying Bello is an illustrious son of the soil.
Already holding the esteemed traditional title of Kuliyan Zazzau, Bello’s philanthropy has rang all across the Emirate and endeared him to the hearts of several communities.
“In and out of service, Justice Bello holds much promise in keeping the youth of Zazzau Emirate focused and disciplined in the pursuit of edifying goals and living with values that define the Emirate’s character.
“Justice Bello’s whose leadership, sacrifice, statesmanship, patriotism and unwavering commitment to the interests of the people of Zazzau, and citizens of Kaduna State as a whole, has few parallels in the state.
“The people of Zaria shall always draw inspiration from the life and works of the Kuliyan Zazzau, and we must strive, in all we do, to live by the personal and social values and standards he live and set for himself as citizen, subject and leader,” said Sabo Suleiman, a member of the Royal Family of Tukur-Tukur, Zaria.
