ASHENEWS reports that the Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago says his administration will sustain its collaboration with the Federal government to attract more developmental projects to the people.
Bago stated this when he performed the groundbreaking of the 90 km FIRS/NNPC Assisted Bida-Zungeru Federal road project in Bida.
The Governor who observed the deplorable condition of the road for many years, said respite has come to the people.
The governor also hailed the Federal Government for its intervention in the reconstruction of the road, stressing that his administration is poised to transform the State rapidly by ensuring that the people benefit from the dividends of democracy across the State.
He also encouraged the youth to make use of the opportunity to earn legitimate money by engaging in the business ventures that may arise from the construction of the project.
This online platform reports that the governor also performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the 5 km Lemu township road in Gbako Local Government Area.
The Niger state governor, while speaking during the event said his administration would ensure that roads across the State are expanded to reduce travel time and also ease movement of goods and services.
Bago also said that the numerous road projects embarked upon across the state would complement the agricultural revolution of the state government.
The Niger state governor stressed his administration’s drive in achieving the target of food security, noting that the Niger state government will provide necessary farm inputs to farmers in line with his agricultural revolution.
He further said that interventions will also come in the water sector, health, and housing, all geared towards improving the livelihoods of residents.
In addition, the governor used the medium to call on all legislators and critical stakeholders in the state to come together and strive for a common goal of moving the state forward.
