ASHENEWS reports that the Wife of the President, Oluremi Tinubu has donated N100 million to 70 families of the victims of the Dikko Tanker explosion to help them cope with the impact of the explosion.

She said that the donation is to address to what the federal and state governments have done for the victims.

Tinubu said that each of the 70 selected family should be N1 million each while the balance should be shared among them for them to buy foodstuffs and other things.

“We are looking at 70 families. Each family will have N1 million to help them settle and the remaining money will be used for other extra expenses for them like food items and others. The money is to help them.so that they will not feel the impact of the disaster much.”

She prayed against the reoccurrence of such incidents in the state.

Niger state Governor, Umaru Mohammed Bago appreciated the gesture saying that his wife, Fatima Bago would be in charge of the selection of the beneficiaries and the distribution of the donation.

He assured the Wife of the President that the money would be donated fairly and equally without favour or bias.
