Niger: Police arrest man for placing brother-motorcyclist on GL14

The Niger State Police Command, has arrested one Mohammed Ndanusa for illegally employing and promoting his brother, Tanimu Ndanusa to Grade 14.

Briefing newsmen in Minna on Tuesday, the Police Commissioner, Mr Adamu Usman said Ndanusa is a staff of the Ministry of Health.

According to him, the staff had engaged his brother, Tanimu, a commercial motorcyclist and had promoted him to grade level 14.

The Commissioner said that Tanimu was also arrested when he presented himself for an ongoing verification civil servants in the state.,adding that Tanimu could not produce any relevant documents to the screening committee to prove his claims of being a valid staff.

“Mohammed Ndanusa confessed to the crime saying that he fraudulently employed his brother on grade level 11 in 2009 and subsequently promoted him to grade level 14 to date.”

Usman said that investigation was ongoing and Tanimu would be charged to court on conclusion.
