ASHENEWS reports that the National Association of Shiroro Students (NASS) has announced that the association has appointed Peace Isah, as the first female president in the history of the association.
The association stated this in a statement made available to ASHENEWS by its Information Officer, Shiroro Local Government Council, Abubakar Abdullahi.
Also appointed was Hasheem Gambo Kuta as the Secretary General of the association.
The statement listed the achievements of the past administration to include facilitating JAMB and WAEC registration refunds, organizing impactful educational support programs, and securing scholarships for deserving students.
“This groundbreaking development symbolizes a significant stride towards gender equality in the association.”
In her remarks, the newly appointed President expressed gratitude to stakeholders and dignitaries for unwavering support.
“Acknowledging the significance of her role as the first female president, she pledged dedication and punctuality in serving the students. President Isah articulated a commitment to ensuring that no student would be left behind, setting a positive tone for her administration.
“The leadership transition signifies the opening of a new chapter for the National Association of Shiroro Students. The incoming executive members, with their focus on gender equality, dedication to students’ welfare, and commitment to positive changes, are poised to lead the association with passion and drive.”
