The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi, emphasized that the council meeting serves as an annual platform for stakeholders to review the sector’s performance, address challenges, and propose solutions. He noted, “It’s an opportunity for government officials, experts, and regulatory agencies to exchange ideas on critical issues affecting the housing sector.”
Resolutions from the council meeting will guide the government in developing policies and programs to advance the sector. The previous council meeting was held in Kaduna in 2023, with the theme: “Harnessing Local and International Credit Schemes as a Panacea for Housing Infrastructure Development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.”
