Governor of Ebonyi state, Mr Dave Umahi has announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Making the announcement on Tuesday, Umahi claimed that the South East zone had suffered injustice in the PDP.
Recal that the governor told the national leadership of the PDP in Ebonyi Lodge, Abuja last week, that his decision to join the APC was irrevocable.
According to him, it is only in APC that the South East presidency could be a reality.
He added that he could only believe the Uche Secondus-led PDP National Working Committee, NWC, and stay back in the party, if it declared that it would zone its presidency to the South East.
