The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has appointed its Deputy National Chairman (South), Yemi Akinwonmi as acting national chairman of the party.
PDP spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan made the announcement after a closed-door meeting of the national working committee (NWC) in Abuja on Thursday.
The appointment is not unconnected with the crisis that led to Uche Secondus’ sack by Port Harcourt Federal High Court as the national chairman.
