The District Head of Wawa in Borgu local government area of Niger state, Mahmud Aliyu has regained freedom.
The District head was abducted on September 9, at his palace in Wawa, Borgu Emirate.
A terse statement by Mary Noel-Berje, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor Abubakar Sani-Bello on Saturday, said he was released without payment of ransom.
