APC CONVENTION: Adamu emerges national chairman; Omisore, Secretary [+UNITY LIST]

The All Progressives Congress, APC, early Sunday, selected its new officials to run  the affairs of the party, with former Nasarawa state governor, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and Sen. Iyiola Omisore emerging as the national chairman and National Secretary, respectively.

A serving member of the Senate representing Nasarawa West and former governor of the state, Adamu is the favored choice of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Jigawa state governor, Abubakar Badaru and chairman of the electoral committee of the convention, announced Adamu as the winner of the contest .

His affirmation by the party came after other contenders for the position, including Senator George Akume, Tanko Al-Makura, Abdul’Aziz Yari, Senator Sani Musa, Saliu Mustapha, and Muhammed Etsu had withdrawn from the race.
