The Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, Abisoye Fagade, has donated foodstuffs, cash gifts and other relief items to no fewer than 10,000 residents across six towns in Oyo State.
Beneficiaries of the outreach were drawn from Ibadan, Ibarapa, Oyo town, Saki, Iseyin and Ogbomoso.
The donation, according to a statement released by the Institute in Ibadan on Saturday, was carried out through Fagade’s Oyo Si Maa Dun Network and aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
PUNCH Online reports that the OSMD Network serves as a grassroots platform for advancing the ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda in Oyo State, with a focus on social welfare and community resilience, youth empowerment, inclusive development, and people-driven leadership anchored on compassion and accountability.
The network is committed to initiatives that strengthen livelihoods, empower young people and promote shared growth, in line with the Renewed Hope vision of building a more caring, productive and united Nigeria.
Speaking on the initiative, Fagade described the outreach as a translation of national vision into local impact, reinforcing the Renewed Hope promise that governance must be felt in homes, streets and communities.

According to him, the Renewed Hope Agenda goes beyond policy articulation and represents a moral obligation to care for the people.
“The Agenda is not just a policy framework; it is a moral obligation to care for the people. Asiwaju Cares means leadership that shows empathy and delivers practical support where it matters most,” Fagade added.
He explained that as part of the Christmas Day intervention, the OSMD Network distributed hot meals to 10,000 people on the streets, provided dry food items to households and gave cash gifts to support dignity, relief and small-scale needs during the festive season across the six beneficiary towns.
Fagade noted that the outreach reflected the core values of the Renewed Hope Agenda, including social inclusion, shared prosperity, compassion and a firm commitment to leaving no Nigerian behind.
He added that the initiative brought the Asiwaju Cares philosophy directly to the people of Oyo State.
Meanwhile, residents across the beneficiary towns described the Christmas outreach as timely, humane and deeply reassuring, especially at a period when many families are grappling with economic pressures.
