A sitting member of the National Assembly (NASS) who represents Gada/Goronyo Federal Constituency in Sokoto state, Musa Sarkin Adar has been returned unopposed to bear the flag of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general election.
The Chairman of the primary election committee for the constituency, Abubakar Chika Dantama made the announcement after Adar’s affirmation in Gada, headquarters of Gada local government on Saturday.
According to Dantama, Adar’s affirmation followed APC wards delegates’ unanimous endorsement for the 4th term.
“Musa Sarkin Adar, having fulfilled all the requirements and guidelines for the conduct of the APC affirmation exercise, is hereby affirmed and declared as the APC flag bearer in the 2023 general election for Gada/Goronyo Federal Constituency,” Dantama declared.
Adar emphasised the need for in order to win the general election, while thanking the delegates for reposing their confidence in him.
He promised to use the mandate if elected in 2023, to work for the people and not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
He thanked the leader of the party in the state Sen. Aliyu Wamakko for his role in making the party formidable and strong in the state.
