The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has confirmed the death of two persons in a truck accident at Cele Bus Stop, inward Mile 2, Lagos.
The Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the incident involved two 40-foot container trucks.
He explained that a moving truck rammed into a stationary truck from behind, reportedly due to over-speeding.

Oke-Osanyintolu said the crash resulted in the deaths of the driver of the moving truck and a pedestrian.
According to him, heavy-duty recovery equipment is being mobilized to the scene.
He added that traffic control measures had been put in place to prevent secondary incidents.
The LASEMA boss said first responders at the scene included the Eagle Response Team and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
He said Super Metro and the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU) were expected to carry out recovery and evacuation operations.
