The National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) in Katsina State has commended Governor Dikko Radda for reviewing the operational policy for private and community schools.
The commendation was contained in a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Katsina by NAPPS Chairman, Mansur Sani-Jibia.
In the statement, Sani-Jibia said the policy review would reposition private and community schools to improve the standard of education in the state.
“We assure the government of our readiness to comply with the state’s existing laws and regulations. We will also collaborate with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the education sector in line with the governor’s ‘Building Your Future’ agenda,” he said.
Sani-Jibia also expressed appreciation to members of the Katsina State House of Assembly for their critical role in the review process.
He added, “We recognize the fatherly role played by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Faskari, in facilitating negotiations between us and the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.”
